It provides excellent isolation from ambient sounds with superior feedback rejection. It suppresses amplification of keyboard and pedal noise on a piano and is quick to set up, with no holes to drill or tools required. The transducer attaches to the preamp with the attached cable.   The preamp has two outputs: one 1/4" jack (unbalanced) with 2K Ohm impedance, and one XLR jack (balanced) with a 1K Ohm impedance. The frequency response measures 5Hz to 30kHz (+/- 1dB). Other specs: S/N = 108dB, Noise = -105dBu, and THD - .005% @ 1 kHz. The unit will run on phantom power, or from a 9 volt battery.   The specs are great, but the reason you should have this pickup and preamp is for its awesome sound quality.
