The first one contains part of Evans' original piece as it appeared in the original edition of "Bill Evans Piano Solos", followed by a transcription as played by Marian McPartland on her NPR program, and finally as recorded by a quartet with Cannonball Adderley. "Very Early" is presented in two versions, the first is an arrangement for piano solo, and the second is a transcription written by Evans of a live performance by the Bill Evan's Trio. All piano students are sure to benefit by studying this mid-twentieth century pianist's work.
