Swing To Bop: The Music Of Charlie Christian - Pioneer Of The Electric Guitar

239 pages, Item number 1302835ED, $32.95

Charlie Christian was one of the first and most influential jazz electric guitarists. From his start with swing when he was with the Benny Goodman sextet and orchestra in the 1930s, his "bop" in the 1940s, and his "modern jazz" in the 1950s, Charlie Christian led the way for a slew of guitarists such as Barney Kessel, Herb Ellis, Jimmy Raney and Tal Farlow. This book covers a selection of his music in many of his styles in an easy to follow format.

32 pages, Item number 1700721ED, $8.95

"Just For Kids NOT! More Fun Songs" is a continuation of the popular "Just For Kids NOT! Fun Songs" book that we've carried for years. This book is brand new, and contains 14 young-person favorites, arranged for Big-Note Piano. A young pianist that has finished the first method book can play these songs, and if the pianist has finished the second method book, the songs will be pretty easy. Each piece of music even includes an optional accompaniment for adults to play with the kids. If you have a young pianist (or vocalist) then you should seriously consider this book. Performance tips are also included for each song.
